Welcome to the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging website!
Our organization has 220+ active members representing professionals from Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and some cities in Western Ohio. We monitor and address nuclear medicine issues at the local level while providing members the opportunity to network with other business professionals. Continuing education and research activities are held throughout the year to encourage and enhance leadership.
Our Mission: To improve human health by advancing nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and radionuclide therapy.
For more than 50 years, SNMMI has successfully followed a mission of educating professionals, policy makers and the general public about the potential of nuclear medicine and treatment. Advances in molecular biology, molecular medicine and medical imaging have signaled an expansion in the direction of the profession and its ability to contribute to improved health outcomes, requiring SNMMI leaders to examine the society's long-range future.
